Here at Full Fat Things we're very excited about Drupal 9 and all the benefits it offers users. The work required to make the upgrade depends on several factors, which vary between each site. Which is why we'd like to do our bit to help.

This isn't a sales pitch!

Having been part of the Drupal community and involved in the platform's development from the very early days, we're keen to see as many Drupal users move to the new version as possible. Which is why we're offering a free, no obligation, 30 minute call to help you get an understanding of what upgrading to Drupal 9 involves for your organisation. We're not trying to sell our wares, we're purely trying to help as many businesses as possible make the move.

During the call we'll look at your site with you, in particular the extent of its customisation and the modules used. We'll then give you an idea of what you'll need to do to make the move to Drupal 9.

Complete the form on this page and one of our team will be in touch to arrange your free site review.

What to expect from Drupal 9

Moving from Drupal 7 to Drupal 9 is a major change for your application. Most notably, future upgrades will be performed in a less dramatic way than before.

Drupal 8 to Drupal 9 is less of a dramatic change, but because Drupal 8 is officially end-of-life (as of 2 November 2021), your site may now be at risk to security issues and bugs that won't have fixes.

On Drupal 9 your audience will enjoy faster page loading and improved accessibility. Your teams will appreciate easier content authoring, WYSIWYG editing, workflows, an ‘API first’ approach and better multilingual support. And both groups will benefit from Drupal 9 being designed for a ‘mobile first’ approach, which Drupal 7 definitely isn’t.
